Dr. Daniel Bowen

Daniel Bowen was born and raised in Spring Lake and graduated from Spring Lake High School. He attended the University of Michigan, where he received his bachelor’s degree and DDS. He served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps from 1978 to 1980, when he established this practice. He is a member of the Michigan Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dan and his wife Deborah (who is one of our hygienists) have two children. Dan has always been an active community volunteer in organizations such as the Jaycees, the United Way, and St. Patrick’s Church, as well as an AYSO soccer coach and YMCA youth basketball coach. He has been a regular visitor to area schools, helping area children to understand the importance of preventive dental care.

Dr. Dennis Thornley

Dennis Thornley was born in Japan while his father was stationed there for the U.S. Army. His family returned to Spring Lake when he was young, and he graduated from Spring Lake High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Muskegon Community College and Grand Valley State University and received his DDS from the University of Detriot Dental School. He joined our practice in 1994.

Dennis and his wife Pam have four children. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association and is a past board member of the state association. He also serves as a consultant to the Ottawa County Careerline Tech Center’s dental assistant education program.
